I Was Nine Years Old

When the 1960 Imperial was released. If I were ever to get this close to the lovely rear end of the car, it would have required much furtive fondling of the structure, especially the taillight assemblies.

God, I was crazy about cars from that period.

  1. I always thought that was a beautiful car.
Back then, cars were works of art.
It was also a time when every model year was different. Not like today, where you can't tell a 2004 from a 2011, or even one manufacturer from another in some cases. So many cars are so bland today.
As the saying goes, "They don't make 'em like they used to".

  2. So true, so true. It was a unique time. I am so glad that some of these cars survived in a state in which they could be restored, and that there are souls who take the initiative to do so.

Thanks very much for your comment. Please do come again.
