Here's Some More Intermission Ads

I haven't posted any drive-in intermission ads videos in awhile, so here's a nice little clip for your pleasure. They're vintage, they're fun.

It's Intermission Time!

I haven't posted any of those wonderful drive-in intermission ads in awhile so here's one for ya. This one has several major sequences, but the one to watch for is the second one, which has an awesome harpsichord component. It's one of my most favorite refreshment commercials.

The Best Reason In The World To Drink Beer

A (relatively) young Ed McMahon hawking Budweiser beer at a county fair. Golden.

More Intermission Ads!

This one was apparently the work of Jay Ward, the same man responsible for Rocky and Bullwinkle. The voicing is supposedly Beach Dickerson. Whatever the case, it is awesomely goofy.

More Intermission Ads!

More classic drive-in intermission ads -- a nice assortment of both animated and live action commercials sure to make you hungry for some decidedly dubious offerings.

King Popcorn

Time for yet another wonderful old drive-in intermission ad, this one an animated commercial for Butternut buttered popcorn. Quite the catchy little ditty, and was surely effective in its day.

The Unbearable Lightness of Intermission Ads

As I have indicated before, I have a great love for drive-in intermission ads. So much so that I put on a DVD of them to lull myself to sleep each night. Okay, I am weird. I never denied it. But this video is typical of the animation-heavy spots that ran between features at the theater. Check it out!

"Everybody Knows The Weasel Blows"

I just love old drive-in intermission ads. Especially the ones that hit you with something perverse out of left field. This one is classic. The dude is so sleazy, that at the end of the commercial when he tilts a box of popcorn sitting in his lap towards the camera, it's easy to imagine he's hiding his johnson in it.
