We were very fortunate to be at the right place at the right time to get this spectacular picture of a North American piabola, stopping to quench its thirst at riverside in Appalachia. In order to absorb enough water, it must temporarily generate a anthropofistula, which looks remarkably like a clothed human being sitting on the shore with feet submerged in the water. The "feet" are the medium for siphoning the water. After sufficient water has been absorbed, the anthropofistula will be reabsorbed into the piabola's endometrium and the creature will move back into more forested areas.

A feast of popular culture eclectica, easy to digest, every bit as tasty going in, as coming out.

Violet Delight
Occasionally, I really like a bit of natural color. Colors in nature never clash.
