Death had come for Polly, and Polly was happier than a pig in shit. She tried to get Death to join her in a celebration drink.
But the Death Angel was just flummoxed by the girl's lack of dread.
Ripped off from Ghastly Delights
A feast of popular culture eclectica, easy to digest, every bit as tasty going in, as coming out.

Hmmmm
This looks quite interesting. The presentation works against the impression of an ale.

What?
I do NOT get forgetful when I drink. Whatever gave you that idea?

Time To Cut Back
Porter knew he had gone too far with his drinking when he started hallucinating Nancy Kulp on his liquor bottles instead of Jayne Mansfield.

The Glennistons Get Down
The Glenniston family was a gloomy lot til Rock Botticelli knocked on their door. The independently wealthy young man rolled in one of his multi-thousand dollar juke boxes loaded with all the latest rock and roll hits, and set it for unlimited free play. The foursome perked up and began to move and groove with the music. Rock had done his good deed for the day so he had a beer at Barlebys and drove with Peaches to lover's lane. Life was good.

Yes, It Is Coca Cola
I have never been a big fan of alcoholic beverages. I never cared for the bite of alcohol. If I was going to drink something, I wanted it to taste good, above all other things, and with no unpleasant aftertaste. Soft drinks are a natural choice, and Coca Cola, to me, represents the tastiest of all the possibilities. And its whole presentation, particularly in the mid-20th Century period, was both classic and inviting. Packaging plays a key part in this, and it is clever, attractive containers, like the carton pictured here, that reinforces this.
To me, ads like this for Coca Cola impart a strong sense of nostalgia.

Duh
Check into the Stouffers, turn the cell phone off, call room service for that first bucket of ice, and start making your way a bottle at a time.

In Her Cups
Marge (slurring): "Helen, have you put the kids to bed, yet? Well, send the little fuckers to bed, so we can start having some adult fun here. Damn it, I love your kids, but we gotta blow off some steam, and they will just get in the way. Did you put a TV set in their room like I suggested? Well, send them to their rooms to watch Nightmare Theater. Get their little asses out of here and pour me some more sherry -- oh, hell, no, you got any Colt 45?"

It's For Your Own Good
"Daddy insists you take your medicine, Precious." The babysitter for Quislinga had fallen through at the last minute so Frank had to fall back on plan B. Give her a stiff jolt of Kahlua, wait for her to pass out, and then lock her in the hotel room. She would sleep for the 3 hours that it would take to plant the dirty bomb at the Wal-Mart. As usual, her mother was completely apathetic about the decision.
